Amid snowfall in Kashmir, a driver from Mechanical Engineering Department Budgam Monday rescued three patients including a pregnant woman who were unable to reach the hospital due to heavy snowfall in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Javid Ahmad tanga, who works as a daily wager for a snow clearance vehicle from MED in sub-division of Budgam, told the Rising Kashmir that he has helped the three patients including pregnant lady, who were not able to reach the hospital due to ongoing snowfall in three different areas of the Budgam district.

“I was performing his duties as he was clearing the snow from the roads,” he said.

Tanga said that on the directions of SDM Khansahib and Tehsildar Khansahib. I have been sent to clear the road at Bugchil village, where one of the pregnant lady was not able to reach the hospital. “The ambulance vehicle was also sent to help this pregnant woman,” he said.

He said in the sheikh Wadipora village, one of the child patient was facing illness because his parents could not reach the hospital. Similarly another male patient who was also stuck due to the heavy snowfall has been dropped at the Kremsher village.

“The tourist vehicle Fortuner, which was stuck, has also been rescued with the help of the snow clearing machine,” he said.

Meanwhile, a video of the father of the child patient also went viral on social media platforms. In which the father of the child patient thanked the snow clearance vehicle driver for his help and demanded an appreciation award for the Tanga.
