Kulgam, Oct 02: Municipal Council (MC) Kulgam celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a grand felicitation event, paying appreciation to those who have made noteworthy contributions during the fortnight ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign.
During the ceremony, a diverse group was honoured for their dedication towards cleanliness and community service. Among the award recipients were diligent volunteers, swachhata ambassadors, dedicated sanitation staff, official staff, and councillors.
On the occasion, Executive Officer MC Kulgam, Mohd Irfan Wani highlighted the achievements of the municipality during the year and stressed the collective efforts by all employees in creating behavioural change among the people.
During the function, gratitude was extended to all stakeholders for their contribution to the successful conduct of the Indian Swachhata League, Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath, besides other events.
The event was attended by Elected Ward Councilors, swachhata ambassador, and employees from MC Kulgam.
