The Municipal Council of Budgam is set to complete the construction work on the clock tower within the next two months to enhance the beauty of the town. Once completed, the clock tower will become functional and add to the overall aesthetic appeal of Budgam.
According to an official from the Municipal Council, several mega development projects are currently underway in the town. Along with the clock tower, the council is also constructing a multi-level parking facility that is expected to be completed in the financial year 2023-2024. Additionally, the council plans to construct a slaughterhouse and develop four public parks with gymnasium facilities for children and elders.
Other projects in the pipeline include an auditorium and guest house, for which land has already been identified. The construction work on these facilities will commence shortly. In the near future, the council also plans to identify 50 kanals of land near the bus stand for the construction of a mini-stadium, public park, and extension space of the main bus stand to enhance the overall look and feel of the area.
