Srinagar, June 08: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference leader and Member of the Parliament from Anantnag Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi on Thursday toured various areas of Tral and took stock of the ongoing public Works in the constituency.
Accompanied by Dr Ghulam Nabi Bhat in-charge of Tral Constituency, Masoodi visited Khanqa Faiz Panah, Hazrat Meer Syed Ali Hamdani, Degree College Tral, Batnoor and Karmulla villages.
On the occasion, he assured the locals that the proposal of the Pahalgam-Tral-Khrew-Srinagar road is being vigorously pursued with Central and UT administration that while the DPR of the Syed Abad – Wahab Saheb segment stands prepared; its preparation is awaited for Lehndajjan – Batnoor segment.
Masoodi also emphasised that the proposed road shall not only promote tourism but also open up the area to development and generate employment.
The college administration and girl students Degree College Tral highlighted the problems faced by them due to the lack of adequate transport facilities. He promised to explore the possibility of releasing funds from MPLAD funds for the purchase of a bus for use by students.
Interacting with the elders of Tral town to have firsthand information regarding the reasons responsible for the delay in the construction of Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah and uncertainty regarding the administration of one of the most important religious places of Jammu and Kashmir, he assured immediate intervention so that all doubts regarding management are dispelled.
