Srinagar, Mar 16: The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gained a boost in south and north Kashmir as former MLA Shangus Anantnag, Mansoor Hussain Suharwardy and MLC Yasir Reshi of Sumbal Sonawari, Bandipora, rejoined the party on Sunday.
The event took place in the presence of party president and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti at a programme organised at the party headquarters here, a PDP spokesperson said in a statement issued here.
Senior party leaders present at the event included Vice President Mohammad Sartaj Madni; Chairman of the Parliamentary Board, Abdul Rehman Veeri; former minister, Adv Gh Nabi Lone Hanjura; general secretaries, Adv Abdul Haq Khan and Mohammad Khursheed Aalam; senior leaders and former ministers Syed Naeem Akhter Andrabi and Asiea Naqash; Additional Spokespersons Zuhaib Yousuf Mir and Mohamad Iqbal Tramboo; Media Coordinator Bashir Ahmad Beigh; Arif Laigaroo and Dr Ali Mohammad.
District presidents Abdul Qayum Bhat (Srinagar), Adv Sheikh Javed (Anantnag), Syed Sajad Hussain (Bandipora), Tahir Qadri, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Ali Mohammed Baba and Mushtaq Ahmad and others were also present.
