Jammu, Feb 24: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu and former minister, S. Manjit Singh on Saturday paid obeisance at the temple of Sant Shiromani Shree Guru Ravidas Ji Maharaj Jayanti at Channi Manhasan in Vijaypur in District Samba.
As per the press release, the former minister was accompanied by prominent people and former Panchayat members during his visit to the temple where he paid his respects to mark the celebration of Ravidas Ji Jayanti. District President, Legal Cell, Samba, Adv Sahil Bharti was also present.
Extending greetings to the people, he remembered the welfare work of Shree Guru Ravidass Ji for mankind irrespective of their identity. He said the auspicious occasion contributes towards unity in society and promotes rational thinking while helping people to eradicate superstition.
Jayanti was celebrated with enthusiasm and zeal by the people and has provided an opportunity for equality, Singh said.
