Jammu, Apr 03: Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu and former minister, S. Manjit Singh has expressed condolences on the martyrdom of a Probationary Sub Inspector (PSI) of Jammu & Kashmir Police, Deepak Sharma during an encounter with the gangster in Kathua, last night.
In his condolence message, the former minister said that the police did commendable work to control the criminal activities and drug peddling in Ramgarh and other parts of Samba district. “We express our grief and sorrow to the bereaved family members of the PSI Deepak Sharma, who have lost their son,” Singh said in his condolence message to the family members.
He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and courage for the bereaved family members to bear this irreparable loss.
The Apni Party leader demanded that the government should recognize the act of bravery shown by the PSI and he shall be awarded suitably.
Meanwhile, Singh commended the role of Samba police under SSP Vinay Sharma who have taken a tough stance against the criminals.
“Samba police deserve appreciation for their action against the criminals, and drug peddlers for the last several months. The police have become active, and the people expect that the growing numbers of criminal incidents can be curbed, and the accused be put behind bars,” he said.
