Srinagar, Oct 13: In a tragic incident on Sunday, a man was fatally stabbed during a dispute over vehicle parking near shops in the Parimpora area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district.
According to Srinagar Police, the accused, identified as Zareef Ahmed Mir, son of Ab Raheem Mir and a resident of Parimpora, stabbed Amir Razak Mir, son of Ab Razak Mir, also from Parimpora. The incident reportedly occurred after an argument escalated into a violent confrontation between the two men over a parking space.
The police were quick to respond to the incident, arresting the accused and recovering the weapon used in the attack. Srinagar Police, in a tweet, confirmed that an FIR (No. 114/2024) had been registered under Section 103 of the BNS at Parimpora Police Station.
“An incident in which an individual namely Zareef Ahmed Mir S/o Ab Raheem Mir R/o Parimpora stabbed another namely Amir Razak Mir S/o Ab Razak Mir R/o Parimpora during a scuffle over vehicle parking near their shops,” the police said.
The victim, Amir Razak Mir, was rushed to SMHS Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival. The family of the deceased has demanded stringent action against the perpetrator.
The incident has sent shock waves throughout the Parimpora area, shocking local residents.
