A 70-year-old man died in a hit-and-run accident in the Denaw Kandimargh in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said.
An official said, the elderly have been identified as Lala Khan son of Jumma Ahmad Khan a resident of Reasi.
“He was critically injured in the hit-and-run case by an unknown vehicle and was brought to the hospital for treatment,” he said.
After giving him first aid at District Hospital Kulgam he was referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
The official said, he has reportedly died on the way.
An official said, the police have taken cognizance and are investigating the accident.
