Major accident in Akhnoor: Two buses collide, 18 Injured

JAMMU, Jun 22: In yet another accident at Akhnoor in Jammu region, eighteen people were injured when two buses collided head on near Bomal on Akhnoor-Jourian road.
The unfortunate accident took place on Akhnoor-Jourian road at around 11 AM on Saturday morning.
“Eighteen people injured in the accident,” Block Medical Officer (BMO), Dr MohdSaleem told Rising Kashmir, while adding, “Seven injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital(GMC&H), Jammu for specialized treatment.
One of the injured was shifted to GMC in serious condition. “One critically injured person is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at GMC,” Dr Ashutosh, Principal of GMC-Jammu informed, while adding, “all other six injured in Akhnoor accident who were shifted to GMC-Jammu, are stable and are responding to treatment”.
Meanwhile, the injured who were admitted in Akhnoor Hospital were all stable and some of them have been discharged, Dr Saleem said.
The injured in the accident have been identified as HarbansLal (46 years), Rinku (19 years), Balbir (46 years), Rajkumari (53 years), Koushalya Devi (75 years), Rita Devi (40 years), Tulsi Kumar (22 years), Sunil Kumar (34 years), Rakesh Kumar (35 years), RiyaChowdhary (19 years), JitanChowdhary (15 years), Abhishek (28 years), ParveshKumari (40 years), KrishanLal 60 years), Mohan Singh (59 years), Rita Devi (40 years), SubhashChander (44 years) and Komal (19 years).
