Srinagar, 31 Aug: In a solemn observance of 25th Safar, a day-long Majlis-e-Hussaini was held in the serene setting of Dragund Bemina, led by Hojat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mousavi Safavi, the esteemed President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian. The Majlis witnessed a profound outpouring of grief and devotion as mourners gathered in large numbers to honor the timeless sacrifices of the martyrs of Karbala.
The mournful recitations of elegies (Marsiyas) by the organization’s dedicated reciters reverberated through the air, creating an atmosphere of deep reflection and reverence. The event culminated in a sacred procession of Alam Mubarak, symbolizing the enduring spirit of the Karbala martyrs.
In his address to the congregation, Aga Syed Hassan eloquently spoke of the unparalleled sacrifices made by the martyrs of Karbala, who stood firm in the face of unimaginable trials to uphold the values of Islam and humanity. He reminded the mourners that the Majalis held in their memory serve as a vital link in keeping the message of Karbala alive, a message that transcends time and continues to inspire generations.
Aga Syed Hassan also expressed his profound indignation at the recent derogatory remarks made against the revered founder of the Kashmiri Shia community, Syed Mir Shamsuddin Araqi (RA). He denounced such language as a reflection of deep ignorance of both history and religion. Aga Hassan warned that such divisive rhetoric is an attempt to undermine the unity of the community, urging everyone to remain steadfast in preserving their solidarity and respect for their revered figures.
The Majlis concluded with prayers for peace and unity, as the mourners pledged to carry forward the legacy of Karbala with unwavering determination and faith.
