Luthra for more women participation in democratic processes

Jammu, Feb 26: National Conference former MLA and State Vice President Women Wing JKNC, Bimla Luthra addressed a women workers’ meeting in R S Pura.
Addressing the meeting, Bimla said, “The party stands by its politics of truth and remains steadfast on its commitments made with the public. The party’s agenda has always been in line with the peace and progress of Jammu and Kashmir.”
The NC leader said women should get equal rights and opportunities to participate in democratic processes and also in other fields as they are second to none. She urged women to come forward and play their crucial role in the decision-making bodies.
Luthra said the National Conference is the only party which firmly stands for peace, prosperity and unity of Jammu and Kashmir. She listed out various initiatives taken by the party from time to time for the empowerment of women particularly those living in far-flung areas.
Those who were present in the meeting included:- Pinky Khalsa District President Jammu Urban Women Wing, Joginder Kour, Sabita, Raji, Tilki, Rani and others.
Meanwhile, Provincial President Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Jammu Province Rattan Lal Gupta has nominated Sakhi Mohd DDC Member Gool as District President Scheduled Tribe Cell Gool-Arnas JKNC with immediate effect, according to the party statement.
