Srinagar, July 11: Srinagar, July 11; General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the Srinagar-based 15 Corps, Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai on Tuesday reviewed the Anti-Infiltration and Counter-infiltration grid along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir.
The GOC visited frontline troops at Machhal sector in Kupwara and Rampur Baramulla to review the anti-infiltration and CT Grid along LoC. He was briefed by Commanders about the situation of the areas of responsibility. The GOC complimented troops for maintaining the highest standards of combat readiness and operational preparedness.
“Commander encouraged and appreciated the troops along the LoC for their alertness. This year, forces have foiled many infiltration attempts,” said an officer.
The Machal sector has witnessed several infiltration bids this year that were foiled by security forces.
Earlier on June 16, security forces killed four foreign terrorists and foiled a major infiltration bid along the LoC in Machil sector.
Similarly two foreign terrorists were killed on June 13 after SF’s foiled a major infiltration bid along LoC in the same sector.
