Jammu, Apr 13: After Prime Minister NarendraModi’s successful mega rally in Udhampur, the ruling BJP’s election campaign for the 2024 LokSabha polls is set to escalate in the coming days, with star campaigners Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh scheduled to address rallies in different areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is slated to address an election rally on April 16, soliciting support and votes for the BJP and its candidates. The rally will take place at ManhasBiradri Ground, Roop Nagar near Paloura in Jammu.

RavinderRaina, the BJP President of J&K UT, chaired a meeting of party leaders to assess the arrangements for the upcoming rallies of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will campaign for the BJP and address an election rally in the Basholi area of the Jammu region, falling within the Udhampur-Kathua-Doda Parliamentary constituency.
“All arrangements have been finalized for the rallies of both star campaigners of the BJP,” Raina confirmed. The BJP secured victories in both LokSabha seats of the Jammu region, namely Jammu-Rajpuri-Poonch and Kathua-Udhampur-Doda, in the 2014 and 2019 Parliamentary elections.
Following delimitation, the Jammu-Rajpuri-PoonchLokSabha seat has now transformed into the Jammu-Reasi seat. The BJP has fielded its sitting MPs for both these seats. Jugal Kishore Sharma has been nominated for the Jammu-Reasi seat for the third consecutive term. Similarly, Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh has been chosen by the BJP for the Kathua-Udhampur-Doda constituency for the third consecutive time.
Campaigning for the Kathua-Udhampur-DodaLokSabha seat will conclude on April 17, with polling scheduled for April 19. For the Jammu-ReasiLokSabha seat, campaigning will conclude on April 26, with polling set for April 29.
