Lone welcomes ‘prominent academician’ into PC

Srinagar, Aug 10: J&K Peoples Conference President Sajad Gani Lone on Saturday welcomed “prominent academician” Dr Mudasir Akbar Shah from Lalpora-Lolab into the party.
Dr Mudasir, who rose from humble beginnings, completed his M.Tech at IIT Roorkee and did a PhD afterwards, the PC said in a statement issued here, adding, “He contributed to J&K’s development as a Science and Technology consultant at NIT Srinagar and served as an Assistant Professor with the United Nations in Ethiopia, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia.”
In his welcome address, Lone acknowledged and praised Dr Mudasir’s “remarkable” journey, highlighting his deep commitment to social upliftment and his resilience in the face of adversity.
“We need individuals like Dr Mudasir in our political fabric—those with vast global experience and the determination to navigate Jammu and Kashmir through these turbulent times toward development and prosperity,” the PC Chief remarked.
