JAMMU, May 08: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is set to visit the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir on the 12th of this month, where he will also address a mega public rally in Kargil. The rally is in support of the BJP candidate from the LadakhLokSabha seat, TashiGyalson.
Former BJP MLC, VikramRandhawa, confirmed the news, stating that the request for campaigning by star campaigners of the party was sent to the party high command, and Rajnath Singh’s visit to Ladakh was finally approved.
The BJP’s Jammu and Kashmir unit has already sprung into action, mobilising its cadre and assigning duties to senior party leaders to conduct aggressive campaigning for the party in the LadakhLokSabha seat, which is scheduled for polls on May 20.
In a strategic move, scores of BJP workers and senior party leaders from the Jammu and Kashmir unit will soon journey to Ladakh to bolster the party’s campaign efforts.
Party sources revealed that ‘PannaPramukhs’ will be appointed, with each being in charge of a page of the voter list. Duties will be assigned to different party leaders to ensure that campaigning reaches every household in Ladakh effectively.
While the BJP clinched victory in the LadakhLokSabha seat during the 2019 elections, the party has chosen a new candidate for the 2024 elections, fielding TashiGyalson as its nominee.AshokKoul, General Secretary (organization), BJP J&K and Ladakh, and other senior leaders of the party have already been camping at Ladakh for boosting party’s campaign for 2024 LokSabha elections.
