"Light Rains, Snowfall Expected in Next Few Days in J&K" : MeT

Srinagar, Feb 04 : The weather department Srinagar today predicted a series of rain and snowfall events in the region over the next week. According to the forecast, February 4-5 is expected to bring light to moderate rain and snow to many places, with higher reaches of Chenab valley and Pirpanjal Range in South Kashmir potentially receiving snowfall of over 8-10 inches. After a brief respite on February 6-8, fresh spells of light rain and snow are expected to hit isolated to scattered places on February 9-10. The weather is likely to remain generally cloudy with a possibility of light rain and snow at isolated places on February 11-12. In view of the predicted weather conditions, tourists, travellers, and transporters are advised to follow the administration and traffic advisory.
