‘Project to inspire youth’

Kupwara, May 13: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will inaugurate the Shaurya Gatha Complex at Sand Model Hill, Tangdhar in the Karnah sector of Kupwara district on Thursday, May 14, as a tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of the Armed Forces and the people living along the Line of Control in the Tangdhar-Karnah area, officials said.
Tangdhar and Karnah have a long history of bravery and resilience, having witnessed several acts of valour by soldiers and civilians since Independence. The Shaurya Gatha Complex has been developed to preserve this legacy and inspire the younger generation through stories of sacrifice and service to the nation.
According to officials, the complex will also promote border tourism, cultural awareness, and national pride in the frontier district. The inauguration is being seen as a significant step towards showcasing the rich military heritage of the area. The event will be held at the newly developed complex, which stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of the region’s defenders.
