Srinagar, May 29: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will inaugurate the third edition of the Kashmir Literature Festival (KLF) at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Conference Centre (SKICC) on the banks of Dal Lake on Saturday.

The two-day literary is being organised by the Srikula Foundation and is expected to bring together renowned voices from literature, diplomacy, academia, art and public life from across India and abroad.

“Honourable LG Manoj Sinha will inaugurate the two-day literary event at SKICC tomorrow,” Naira Manzoor, Assistant Director of KLF, told Rising Kashmir.

The organisers said they are enthusiastic about hosting the third edition of the festival in Kashmir, adding that KLF has evolved into a major cultural platform in Jammu & Kashmir over the years.

Apart from literary discussions, the festival will celebrate the region’s artistic and intellectual traditions through a range of activities, including book and cover launches, panel discussions, thematic debates, literary dialogues, storytelling sessions, poetry recitals, open mic events, karaoke performances, and exhibitions showcasing local cuisine and handicrafts.

According to the organisers, the festival is founded on the idea that literature forms an integral part of a broader civilisational culture and that Jammu & Kashmir deserves a platform that reflects and honours its rich and diverse heritage.

This year’s edition will feature participation from several noted personalities, including Neerja Mattoo, Khurshid Andrabi, Amitabh Mattoo, Raj Shukla, Deepak Vohra and Rouble Nagi, among others.

The event will also witness the participation of senior bureaucrats, diplomats, scholars, writers, entrepreneurs and public intellectuals, reinforcing KLF’s growing stature as a platform for dialogue, culture and civic engagement.

The organisers acknowledged the support extended by the district administration and the Union Territory administration in facilitating the event.

KLF 2026 has partnered with several organisations and media platforms, including Rising Kashmir, JioNews, BIG FM, CRL Diagnostics, Rampage Media, Pausecast, Qafilla-e-Mohabbat and SMART.

Held annually in Srinagar under the leadership of Yuvraj Srivastava, the Kashmir Literature Festival aims to bring together writers, poets, scholars, diplomats and thinkers from across the country and the world to celebrate the literary and cultural heritage of Jammu & Kashmir.
