Srinagar, Aug 07: In a significant gathering today, Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha graced the Hindustan Shikhar Samagam, titled ‘Badalte Kashmir Ki Buland Awaaz’, organized by Hindustan and ABP News Network in the serene city of Srinagar.
The Lieutenant Governor took the opportunity to elucidate the transformative journey undertaken by the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He expounded upon the evolving socio-economic landscape and the unparalleled strides achieved across diverse sectors in recent years.
The Lt Governor asserted, “Guided by the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji, J&K is forging ahead at an impressive velocity. The successive triennial surge across various sectors stands as a testament to unprecedented growth in the annals of the UT’s history.”
He further said, “The people stand united in their pursuit of a radiant future, devotedly striving to construct the J&K of their aspirations. Our youth are meticulously exploring every avenue to hone their talents and skills, while also championing the developmental aspirations of our society. Notably, women, farmers, tribals, underprivileged communities, the impoverished, and the vulnerable are progressively attaining socio-economic empowerment.”
Addressing the security landscape, the Lt Governor highlighted the substantial influx of tourists, influx of industrial investments, the successful hosting of the G20 summit, and other national and international undertakings within the UT. These accomplishments, he posited, serve as a global proclamation of Jammu and Kashmir’s tranquility and forward trajectory.
“Our unyielding policy of zero tolerance towards terrorism is unwavering. Our determination to eradicate the webs of terrorism, separatism, and conflict-driven profiteering remains steadfast. We have, to a considerable extent, achieved success in this endeavor, enabling our citizens to lead lives free from apprehension, on their own terms,” the Lt Governor affirmed.
“Today, J&K stands as an exemplar for other states and Union Territories across the nation. A governance system characterized by transparency and accountability, coupled with seamless access to government services, has notably augmented the quality of life for the people,” he added.
The Lt Governor lauded the enthusiasm of international business conglomerates and enterprises, underlining their willingness to invest in J&K.
“Far-reaching reforms in education, health, agriculture, industries, infrastructure, connectivity, power, hospitality, handicrafts, revenue, films, information technology, sports, and a multitude of sectors have solidly laid the foundation for a gleaming and prosperous future for J&K and its citizens,” he further added.
Later, the Lt Governor paid homage to the valiant members of the security forces and police, who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. “Our enduring gratitude is eternally owed to our courageous personnel from the Police, Army, and Central Armed Police Forces for sustaining peace and a secure environment within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir,” he asserted.
Among others present included senior officials from the UT Administration, Police, and Security forces, alongside experts, senior journalists, prominent figures from diverse spheres.
