Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday condoles the tragic demise of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former MLA Gurez, Faqeer Mohammad Khan.
An official said that Faqeer Khan shot himself dead at his official residence in Tulsi Bagh, Srinagar.
He said that the reason behind him taking this extreme step is not known yet, while probe has been initiated into the matter.
In a post on X, LG Sinha wrote, “Faqeer Mohammad Khan’s contribution to the development of Gurez is immense and he touched and improved thousands of lives. On this extremely sad occasion, I extend my deepest condolences to his family, friends and followers. I pray for his soul.”
