Srinagar, Aug 18: In a significant development, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Friday inaugurated a modern CT Scan Centre at 92 Base Hospital, Srinagar.
During his address, the Lt Governor extended his congratulations to the doctors and the entire team at 92 Base Hospital for the establishment of the well-equipped CT Scan Centre. He expressed his gratitude to the National Stock Exchange Foundation for their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and collaboration with the Armed Forces.
“This inauguration reaffirms our commitment to provide the best possible care to our brave combatants who stand on the frontlines, upholding the motto of ‘Seva Parmo Dharm’, and selflessly risking their lives for our safety and security,” the Lt Governor stated. He emphasized that this initiative symbolizes an unwavering dedication to our soldiers, ensuring they receive the exceptional care they rightfully deserve.
The Lt Governor also praised the security forces for their pivotal role in maintaining peace and a secure environment within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged every sector of society, along with corporations and organizations, to unite and work collectively in order to enhance facilities for our valiant soldiers.
Highlighting the efforts of the doctors and nursing staff at 92 Base Hospital, the Lt Governor emphasized their role in addressing both preventive and curative healthcare needs of security force personnel. He noted that the new CT Scan Centre will facilitate swift diagnosis and enable improved treatment.
During his visit, the Lt Governor also conducted an inspection of the CT Scan Centre’s facilities, underscoring his personal commitment to ensuring quality healthcare for security personnel.
Others present during the inauguration included Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai, GOC 15 Corps; Ashish Kumar Chauhan, Managing Director & CEO of the National Stock Exchange; Dr Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lt Governor; Brig Rajeshwar Sharma; and senior officers from the Army and UT Administration.
