Katra, Oct 22: On the auspicious occasion of Maha Ashtami, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine to offer his prayers for the peace, prosperity, and progress of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
During his visit, the Lt. Governor unveiled a couple of significant initiatives aimed at enhancing the experience of devotees. He inaugurated the ‘Live Darshan Facility’ and introduced a bilingual chatbot on the website of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, both of which are intended to provide valuable services to pilgrims.
The ‘Live Darshan Facility’ can be accessed through the official website of the Shrine Board at www.maavaishnodevi.org. This innovative feature is designed to make it more convenient for devotees to connect with the sacred shrine.
To further assist pilgrims and provide them with accurate information, a bilingual interactive chatbot named ‘Shakti’ has been developed for the official website. ‘Shakti’ serves as an extension of the 24×7 toll-free helpline, addressing queries and grievances received from pilgrims.
It’s worth noting that the Call Centre already assists over 20,000 pilgrims every month. ‘Shakti’ will provide comprehensive information on the services and facilities offered by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, aiding pilgrims in planning their visits in advance. Additionally, it will relay video and audio content to raise awareness among pilgrims and keep them updated on the latest happenings at the Holy Shrine.
Anshul Garg, the Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, provided the Lt. Governor with insights into the special arrangements made for devotees during the Navratri festival.
Also present at the event were Padma Shri Prof. Vishwa Murti Shastri and senior officers of the Shrine Board.
