LG Manoj Sinha Launches National Youth Festival – Aarohan 2026 in Srinagar, Urges Youth to Lead India’s Future

Srinagar, May 11: The Manoj Sinha on Monday inaugurated the National Youth Festival – Aarohan 2026 in Srinagar, urging young people to become active partners in building a developed India by 2047.

Addressing participants at the festival, the Lieutenant Governor said the event represents a vision of “Rise, Shine and Conquer,” encouraging youth to shape the nation’s future through innovation, leadership and social responsibility.

He said the festival’s “Young Leaders Dialogue” aims to provide a platform for youth participation in governance and nation-building. According to him, inclusive governance can only succeed when young people have a meaningful role in decision-making across sectors.

Speaking to students and participants from across the country, Sinha said young people should create their own paths instead of following conventional routes. He stressed that innovation and progress come from those willing to challenge existing norms and think differently.

The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the importance of culture and creativity in shaping national identity. He said art, music, literature, theatre, sports and crafts reflect the spirit of India and allow young people to express their aspirations and values.

Encouraging youth to embrace individuality, he said the world needs original thinkers and leaders who can inspire others through their ideas and actions.

Sinha further stated that true victory lies not in defeating others, but in overcoming inequality, hopelessness and fear. He said many of humanity’s greatest achievements came from classrooms and laboratories where determined young minds worked to transform society.

He called on the youth to contribute towards building a strong, compassionate and developed India.

Among those present on the occasion were Satish Sharma, Ashwani Kumar, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Akshay Labroo, G. V. Sundeep Chakravarthy and Anuradha Gupta, along with senior officials and youth delegates from different parts of the country.
