Srinagar, May 3: Manoj Sinha on Sunday reaffirmed the administration’s strong commitment to eliminating drug abuse in Jammu and Kashmir, while chairing a high-level review meeting at Lok Bhavan.
The meeting focused on assessing the progress of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan, a major initiative aimed at creating a drug-free society in the Union Territory.
Earlier in the day, the Lieutenant Governor also led a massive anti-drug and anti–narco-terrorism campaign in Srinagar. A large rally was held at TRC Stadium, where thousands of people gathered to raise awareness against drug abuse.
Citizens, youth, and government officials marched together, sending a strong and united message against drug addiction and narco-terrorism. The administration described the rally as a powerful reflection of public determination to fight the drug menace.
Officials emphasized that such people-driven movements are key to building a safer and healthier future, with a shared vision of a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir.
