Srinagar, Oct 09: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has expressed his gratitude to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for their participation in the peaceful and transparent Assembly Elections, while commending the efforts of election officials, J&K Police, and security forces in ensuring a free and fair electoral process.
In a post on X, the Lieutenant Governor congratulated all newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly, specifically acknowledging the victory of the National Conference (NC)-led alliance in the polls.
“I thank the people for empowering and strengthening democracy in the Union Territory of J&K. I laud the efforts of the CEO J&K, election officials, J&K Police, and security forces for working tirelessly to uphold the sanctity of the ballot,” Sinha stated.
He further extended his best wishes to the elected representatives, urging them to work collectively for the growth of J&K and the welfare of its people. “The Constitution of India is our guiding light, and I urge all to work together for the betterment of the region.”
The Lieutenant Governor also highlighted the significance of the peaceful electoral process, which saw the participation of millions of voters, underscoring it as a testament to the vibrant democracy and the people’s faith in democratic values.
“Today, J&K stands taller, guided by the principles of good governance, people-first policies, social justice, and social harmony,” Sinha concluded.
