Abu Qatal, a top operative of the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and one of India’s most wanted terrorists, has reportedly been killed under mysterious circumstances in Pakistan, according to reports.
Qatal was a key figure behind multiple terror attacks, including the 2023 Rajouri attack and the 2024 Reasi bus attack in Jammu and Kashmir.
Abu Qatal was a top-priority target for Indian security forces, including the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Indian Army, due to his involvement in planning and executing multiple deadly attacks in Jammu and Kashmir.His actions had placed him on India’s most-wanted list, making him a key figure in counterterrorism operations.
As per reports, He was a close aide of Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind behind the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.
Pertinently, Nine people were and 33 injured after terrorists fired on a bus carrying pilgrims in Reasi district.
He was also involved in the 2023 Rajouri terror attack, where terrorists targeted civilians in Dhangri village on January 1, followed by an IED blast the next day.
