Leh-Manali Road to Close on Dec 7: Ladakh Administration Issues Travel Advisory

Leh, Dec 06 :- The Ladakh Administration has announced that the Leh-Manali road will be closed for traffic from December 7 due to fresh snowfall and slippery road conditions. In a recent advisory, commuters have been urged to plan their travels accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

According to an order this is for information of General Public that Traffic Movement on NH3 (Leh-Manali) will be regulated due to experiencing extreme cold and snowfall in the upper reaches of the valleys and also the phenomenon of icing on roads is evidently seen in the passes.

The route will be officially closed on December 7 2024, therefore, it is requested to plan your travels in advance.

In view of this, the general public are hereby advised to undertake their journey
after confirming the status of the road from Police Control Room, Leh.

In case of any emergency, public is advised to contact control rooms for help on the following numbers:

1. DDMA, Leh control room (01982-252049)
2. Police Control Room Leh (6006028084)
3. DDMA, Lahaul & Spiti control room (9459461355)
