The surprise inspection of this pump was earlier conducted by the officials of Legal Metrology Department which had led to the seizure of its erratic Nozzle. It was observed during the inspection that the display panel on the dispensing unit showing the delivery was not matching with the actual quantity which was delivered to the customers.
The offender pleaded for the compounding of offence at departmental level following which the case was compounded in terms of Section 48 of Legal Metrology Act 2009.
