Ladakh Police on Tuesday ordered the closure one of the highest motorable passes Khardungla and Changla Top,of union territory of Ladakh due to fresh snowfall and slippery road conditions.
For the information of general public, it is informed that due to inclement weather and intermittent snowfall at the highpasses like Changla Top, Khardungla Top, Singayla etc, the general public and tourist in particular are requested to avoid travelling plan towards Nubra, Pangong etc, said Ladakh police in a statement.
Keeping in view the weather conditions and in order to avoid any road related untoward incident, commuters/passengers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and preferably restrict the journey till the weather conditions improve and citizens are once again requested not to venture out during the the inclement weather period till the the high passes get road traffic worthy, district police Leh seek your cooperation.
