Srinagar, Dec 21: The Union Territory of Ladakh has successfully concluded the recruitment process for 1033 positions across various categories through different recruitment agencies since its formation.
Additionally, the ongoing recruitment efforts are in progress for an additional 1818 positions, officials on Thursday said.
A senior official at Ladakh Administration told Rising Kashmir that they have completed recruitment of 1033 posts of various categories through various recruitment agencies.
Further recruitment of 1818 posts are under process and 1893 engagements of manpower have been done through outsourcing, contract, and hiring under Centrally Sponsored Schemes, he said.
Briefing about the details, the Staff Selection Commission has filled 351 positions, while the District Service Section Recruitment Board (DSSRB) Kargil has filled 23 positions, DSSRB Leh has recruited 320 individuals, Ladakh Police Recruitment Board has appointed 294 Constables/Followers, and Ladakh Police Recruitment Board for Fire & Emergency Services & Prisons has filled 45 positions.
Similarly, ongoing recruitment processes are underway, with the SSC currently in the process of filling 651 positions. The DSSRB Kargil is actively recruiting for 451 positions, while DSSRB Leh is in the process of hiring for 284 positions.
Additionally, the Ladakh Police Recruitment Board is conducting recruitment for 432 positions in the Border/Women Battalion.
He further said around 1893 individuals have been appointed through outsourcing, contracts, and hiring processes under Centrally Sponsored Schemes. Among these, 768 were hired on an outsourcing basis, and 58 were engaged through contractual agreements as Assistant Professors at the University of Ladakh.
Additionally, recruitment under various Centrally Sponsored Schemes includes 675 for NHM, 314 for Samagra Shiksha, 33 for Mission Vatsalya, 36 for ICDS, and 09 for Mission Shakti.
The UT has sanctioned the Annual Action Plan for 2023-24, encompassing ongoing projects under State Capex and the Special Development Package, after consultation with LAHDC Leh & Kargil. The allocation of funds for these initiatives was authorized in May 2023.
Additionally, new schemes under the Special Development Package have received approval, following consultations with LAHDC Leh & Kargil. The UT Ladakh has also identified and mapped 122 non-gazetted positions in accordance with the Ladakh Economic & Statistics Subordinate Rule 2021.
