Vijaypur, March 10: Former Minister Yashpal Kundal Friday condemned the Lathi charge on job aspirants who were protesting against the hiring of blacklisted Aptech Company by the government for conducting the recruitment tests in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued to Rising Kashmir, Kundal strongly criticized the decision of the government for hiring APTECH company which was earlier blacklisted.
He asked the government why such a company was selected which has consistently failed to provide transparency and accountability in conducting such an exercise.
“Aptech has been penalized by the Supreme Court and is on the blacklists of various states including Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. In J&K also, the company was accused of blatant irregularities and violations of the law in altering the tender’s terms and conditions,” he alleged.
He said the LG led administration instead of addressing fear of youth seems hell bent on destroying their future.
Kundal said the protesting job aspirants were exercising their democratic right to protest against the wrong decision of the government to engage a blacklisted firm Aptech.
“It seems that the government is playing with the future of youth who are already facing unemployment in the state,” he added.
The AAP leader appealed to the government to immediately restrict this blacklisted company to conduct any test in J&K and should engage some other company which has a clean track-record in conducting government recruitment exams.
