Kulgam, June 08: Bhat Faisal, a 14-year-old boy from south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, says he wrote a poetry book within a span of just 10 days.
Faisal, son of Bilal Ahmad Bhat, and a resident of Okay hamlet in Kulgam is currently in the ninth grade and has recently completed his first book “The Light of Being”.
Talking to Rising Kashmir, Faisal attributed his inspiration to the works of William Shakespeare and Mirza Ghalib. He expressed that his passion for literature had ignited at a young age.
“Every individual possesses the potential to excel in their respective fields, and my inclination towards reading and writing has driven me to pursue literary endeavors,” he said.
“The Light of Being” comprises a compilation of 100 poems, with a central focus on themes of love, spirituality and separation. “The book is the outcome of my spontaneous instincts and ten days of relentless work,” he said.
With aspirations of becoming a well-established writer, Faisal intends to continue his creative pursuits by venturing into novel writing. He expressed his desire to witness the success of individuals in various fields, contributing positively to their communities.
“I want to see people succeed in life and everyone occupied with their own passions and work. I’d like to see individuals doing well for the community. Everything is possible if one is committed and consistent,” he added.
Faisal’s family and friends have provided overwhelming support throughout his literary journey.
