KU mourns demise of employee Mohd Rafiq

Srinagar, Apr 16: The University of Kashmir on Wednesday expressed shock and grief over the demise of Mohd Rafiq, a university employee who passed away earlier in the day due to a sudden heart attack.
Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof Nilofer Khan, in her condolence message, expressed deep sorrow over the loss and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. “Mr Rafiq was a sincere and hardworking employee. His sudden demise is a great loss to the university fraternity. We stand in solidarity with his family during this difficult time and pray for eternal peace to the departed soul,” she said.
Meanwhile, Prof Khan also expressed condolences to Dr Tariq Abdullah, Producer EMRC KU, on the demise of his mother.
Later in the afternoon, while chairing a condolence meeting, Registrar KU, Prof Naseer Iqbal, expressed his condolences and remembered Mr Rafiq as a committed employee whose services to the university were valued and will be remembered with respect.
The condolence meeting was attended by staff members from various departments of the university who joined in expressing their sympathies and offered prayers for the departed soul.
