“Nasir’s dead body was recovered 10 kilometres away from his house in Khimyar village. It seems suspicious and we are investigating all angles of the case,” he said.
Meanwhile, Nasir’s family stated that he was with them until late at night and left around 9:30 PM to his new house, where he usually slept every night.
Mudasir Ahmad Ganai, a cousin brother of the deceased, said that they were shocked to see pictures of Nasir’s dead body on social media. It was a shock for the entire family.
“Around 9:30 PM, he told us he was going to sleep in his new house. After that, we don’t know where he went. He was unmarried and worked as a laborer to support his family,” he said.
Mudasir emphasized that they want justice and nothing else. “How can a person be killed 10 kilometers away from his house? This case should be thoroughly investigated,” he added.
In the evening, hundreds attended the funeral prayers of Nasir Ahmad Ganaie. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard in Pusnag Pattan.
