Jammu, Dec 29: A delegation of Kashmiri Pandits based on All India Kashmiri Samaj and led by its President Ravinder Pandita, visited Gurdwara Rakabgunj today to pay reverential homage to the martyrdom of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Sabibzadas Veer Zorawar Singh Ji and Fateh Singh ji on their martyrdom.
The Kashmiri Pandit delegation interacted with the office bearers of the Gurudwara and promised to work together to honour the memory of the Sikh Gurus.
Speaking on the occasion, Ravinder Pandita said that Guru Tegh Bahadur had not only saved Kashmiri Pandits, he had also stood as a rock against the Mughal injustices against all non-Muslims of India.
He further said that the Guru ji stood for justice, for freedom of choice to practice any religion and against high handedness of the Mughal rulers. He added that in the entire history of the world, “we cannot find any instance of an entire family, including children of tender age, sacrificing themselves to uphold Dharma. That is why Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was called Hind Ki Chadar.”
Ravinder Pandita asserted that in the hour of darkness that had enveloped the nation during that critical hour, it was Guru ji’s sacrifice that had lighted up the country by the halo that Guru ji created.
He further said that Kashmiri Pandits will always bow in front of savior, Guru Tegh Bahadur ji and shall endeavor to live upto his principles.
