Srinagar, Feb 24: Kishtwar Idol season 2 has been successfully launched by the District Administration Kishtwar, with the goal of providing a platform for local singers in the Kishtwar district.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Devansh Yadav, the second season of Kishtwar Idol has commenced in the district. Last year, the first edition of Kishtwar Idol was conducted successfully.
He said that similar to Indian Idol, the judges of Kishtwar Idol are currently visiting various villages to conduct auditions for aspiring singers who wish to participate in Kishtwar Idol season 2.
“Kishtwar Idol has been categorized into two groups: below 18 years of age, and above 18 years of age. Winners from both categories will be awarded a cash prize, as well as professional training singing course that will be facilitated by the district administration Kishtwar,” he said.
DC Kishtwar said that last year, winners received a cash prize of Rs 50,000 each, along with professional training singing courses.
He highlighted that the district administration Kishtwar is organizing various events in different fields. The main objective of this platform is to provide opportunities for all local people interested in the field of singing.
“It is essential for locals to come forward and take advantage of this platform. Kishtwar Idol has seen significant participation from local residents, with people from various villages also attending auditions,” Devansh said.
Additionally, he mentioned that the top winners from both categories will have their songs recorded in a studio located in the Kishtwar district with support of the district administration Kishtwar.
