Kargil, Mar 09: The Khardoon Team emerged victorious in the Inter Block Traditional Archery Tournament held at ZgangChiktan. The tournament featured several teams from the ShakarChiktan Block. The event was organized by the Youth Association Zgang, and was a rare opportunity to witness traditional archery competition.
The Executive Councilor Agriculture, LAHDC, Kargil, Mohsin Ali, graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his speech, EC Mohsin encouraged the association to continue organizing traditional archery events, as it would aid in the revival of the sport and also help in attracting tourists to the region. To support the organizers, the EC awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000. Additionally, he announced an allocation of Rs 5 lakh from his CDF to MS ZgangChiktan in the upcoming session.
During the event, the EC distributed prizes to the winning and runner-up teams. A large number of villagers and PRI members were also present at the ceremony.
