Srinagar, Mar 13: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Pampore, Justice Hasnain Masoodi on Thursday said several key decisions were taken in the Assembly for the benefit of the common masses.
Speaking to the media persons, Masoodi called the session “fruitful”, saying the focus was on improving sectors such as healthcare, education and social welfare in Pampore.
Highlighting the various initiatives discussed during the session, he underscored the government’s commitment to improving both educational and healthcare infrastructure in the region.
“One of the key decisions was the proposal to establish smart classrooms across schools, ensuring that students have access to modern educational tools,” he said. Masoodi also mentioned the introduction of ICT labs in schools, which will enhance the learning experience and equip students with essential digital skills.
In addition to advancements in education, the MLA pointed out the approval for a new degree college in Khrew, aimed at providing higher education opportunities to students in the area. “We are also addressing long-standing demands, such as the establishment of a higher secondary school in Parigam, which has been neglected for years,” he said.
In the healthcare sector, Masoodi mentioned the construction of a 50-bedded emergency block in medical colleges and the 50-bedded hospital in Kakpora, which is on track for full completion and will greatly enhance healthcare access.
“Special focus was given to the Atripora AYUSH hospital and Pampore’s Sub-District Hospital, both of which have been long-standing demands of the people,” he added.
“These are long-standing issues that have now been prioritised,” MLA Masoodi said. “These initiatives are in the best interest of the people and their overall welfare.”
