Jammu, Jan 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Tarun Chugh on Thursday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party, saying the incumbent chief minister Atishi was not at all being projected as the face of performance.
“This reflected starkly how the woman chief minister was just being used as a rubber stamp,” he said while talking to media persons.
Chugh said, “The Kejriwal-led AAP has always been very contemptuous of women force and it was demonstrated when a senior AAP leader was assaulted by the personal staff of Kejriwal in the chief minister’s residence.”
He said Kejriwal has been only trying to promote his wife in politics and has no respect for other female politicians in the party.
“In fact, Kejriwal’s time has run out in Delhi so he is being jittery all around. He has nothing to show back to the people of Delhi in terms of performance in the last ten years. People are talking more about his liquor scam than anything else,” the BJP leader said.
Chugh took a strong exception to the “way Kejriwal has been trying to evoke Hindu sentiments playing cheap politics”. He reminded people of the “contemptuous remarks” Kejriwal had made regarding the Ramjanmbhoomi and Lord Hanuman.
“Kejriwal’s politics has hit its lowest ebb and people in Delhi would give him a lesson of life in the coming elections,” he added.
