KCCI showcases region’s rich handicrafts at 57th Indian Handicraft Gift Fair

Srinagar, Oct 12: In a celebration of exquisite craftsmanship, The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCCI) has set its sights on the 57th Indian Handicraft Gift Fair (IHGF) AUTUMN-2023, which commenced on Thursday in Greater Noida, New Delhi, and will run until October 16, 2023. This prestigious event is being organized under the patronage of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India.

Ten esteemed members of The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry have converged upon this grand stage, showcasing the unrivaled artistry and heritage of the Kashmir Valley. The exhibition’s inauguration was a momentous occasion, graced by the presence of high-ranking officials from the Export Promotion Council of Handicrafts.

One of the defining highlights of this exhibition is the live demonstration of craftsmanship, where artisans adept in different crafts exhibit their skills in creating various handcrafted items. Visitors and buyers alike are thronging to The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry stalls, drawn by the allure of exceptional craftsmanship and the opportunity to purchase these unique products.

The President of KCCI, Javed Ahmad Tenga, made a special journey to Delhi to mark the opening of this event. The KCCI Trade Fair Sub-Committee Chairman, Muzaffar Majid Jan, has taken charge of the fair’s operations, ensuring that the treasures of Kashmiri handicrafts are showcased to their fullest extent.

The Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s presence at the 57th Indian Handicraft Gift Fair serves as a testament to the enduring appeal and the rich cultural heritage of the region’s handicrafts.
