Srinagar, Aug 22: The rich heritage of Pahari Culture was revived when the Pahari Cultural Centre and Community Hall, Karnah was inaugurated recently with persistent support of the Indian Army.
Treading further, a unique event is being planned on August 24, 2023, (Thursday) at the Centre at Karnah, Tangdhar, a defence spokesperson said in a statement issued here.
He said All India Radio, Srinagar has collaborated with the Pahari Club of Karnah to organise a ‘Kavi Sammelan’ in which renowned poets from the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir would be participating.
“The event will witness a majestic mushaira recited by the poets who would mesmerise the audience with their poems. Recited in Pahari language, the event would be a treat to attend,” the spokesperson said, adding, “Among the invites to the event include notable dignitaries of Indian Army and civil administration who have led and are currently leading J&K to scale newer heights.”
