Social media in Kashmir is abuzz with the reels of Ayaan Sajad’s new song ‘BeDard Dadi Chane’, released on August 21 and still trending in the valley.
Over the past 50 days, on ‘Mashq Talks Podcast’ YouTube Channel where this song was officially released, ‘BeDard’ has got over 10 lakh hits, while on other social media platforms its views are in millions and counting.
The 11-year-old’s unique adorable voice is winning hearts on the internet. The young tween aspires to become an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer and is trying hard to balance his singing passion and academic pressures.
Hailing from the Anantnag district of south Kashmir, Ayaan is a 7th-class student and is ruling social media from Instagram reels to Facebook videos and has become a new singing sensation in the Valley.
In a conversation with Rising Kashmir, Ayaan said he was inclined towards singing at an early age. “I began my journey with a family function where I was asked to sing a Kashmiri song,” he said.
“A few years back, I met RJ Umar Nisar at Pahalgam Club, where he helped me to present a song in front of a large audience. Although I was a little bit shy, that performance was a turning point in my life,” the budding singer said.
Ayaan says that from that time, he started singing as his passion and never looked back. “Umar Sir helped me a lot and provided me a platform where people came to know about my talent,” he said.
Apart from singing, he aspires to become an IAS officer. “Currently more focus is on singing and rehearsals but I want to balance time between my passion and studies,” Ayaan said.
He said his family played an important role in his journey and supported him.
“My family supported me from day one. My papa told me to pursue a career in singing but I want to balance academics and singing,” Ayaan said.
About the song’s success, he said the entire team behind ‘BeDard’ song played a vital role in his solo performance. It took us almost one year to prepare and plan this project. We were not expecting such a good response from the people, he said.
This incredible fusion track “BeDard” is the original composition by RashidHafiz and Shameem Azad.
About future projects, Ayaan said there are a few projects in the pipeline and hopefully by the end of this year, people can expect something from the team.
“We have to make our content better each passing day. This song was praised by all and got millions of views on social media. We had never expected such an overwhelming response from the people,” Ayaan said.
The 5:08 minutes song was produced by Rj Umar Nisar in association with Achabal Open Mic under Mashq Talks – Music, Ayaan Sajad Ft. Najmus Saqib were singers. Ayaan Sajad, Afnan Gull and Khalid Muntazir featured in the song.
The lyrics were written by seventeenth-century Kashmiri Sufi poet Shamas Fakeer.
