Srinagar, Aug 13: The Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, N Kotiswar Singh, participated in a Tiranga rally held near the iconic clock tower in Lal Chowk, Srinagar, on Sunday.
During the rally, Chief Justice Singh expressed that the rally’s positive reception among the people is emblematic of Kashmir’s return to a state of normalcy.
In an interaction with mediapersons on the sidelines of the rally, Chief Justice Singh articulated his belief that the enthusiastic response from the public is a clear indication of Kashmir’s resurgence towards a state of stability and normalcy. He underlined the region’s rich natural beauty and the inherent charm of its populace, highlighting the increased influx of tourists that has reached unprecedented levels in decades. This, he asserted, reflects a renewed interest in exploring the unique offerings of the region.
He expressed optimism regarding the current state of peace prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir. He affirmed that the ongoing activities and engagements reflect a promising trajectory for the region’s future.
The Chief Justice asserted that the perception of Kashmir as a troubled area is now out-dated. He expressed his confidence that increased stability and developmental initiatives are destined for the region.
He also said it is a sense of honour in joining the Tiranga rally and contributing to the Independence Day celebrations in the region. While highlighting the positive transformation, the CJ said that it is pride for us for being part of this transformative journey.
