Srinagar, Dec 17: Featuring Kashmir’s serene landscapes and shot against captivating backdrop of valley’s lush green meadows, Feludar Goyendagiri 2: Bhuswargo Bhoyonkawr, famous Bengali web-series is set to be released on December 20. The series is adapted from one of the greatest film directors in the history of Indian cinema, Satyajit Ray’s iconic novel, Feluda. Feluda is a historical fictional detective.
Kashmir’s tranquil surroundings upholding the mysterious charm has added an unparalleled panoramic splendour to the narrative.
The series is set to take the viewers through the mesmerizing valleys of world renowned destinations of Pahalgam , Gulmarg and Khilanmarg, where the web-series has been shot.
The much awaited web-series also features Kashmir based actor Junaid Magray whose role in the series holds the key in unfolding the murder mystery which is the plot in the web series.
Speaking to Rising Kashmir, Junaid Magray revealed that the series promises a gripping narrative set against the breathtaking backdrop of Kashmir.
“Directed by National award winning filmmaker Srijit Mukherjee, the series is adapted from Satyajit Ray’s historical novel Feluda which is a fictional detective, private investigator created and written by Satyajit Ray,” Junaid said.
The series features three main characters. Bengali actor Tota Roy Choudhury will reprise his iconic role of ‘Prodosh Chandra Mitter’ aka ‘Feluda’ along with Kalpan Mitra as ‘Topshe’ and Anirban Chakrabarti as ‘Jatayu.
“All the three lead characters have already done other seasons of the web -series. I’m playing the role of special task force officer ‘Bansi Chandragupt’ which is a character full of suspense and mystery. In this installment of Feludar Goyendagiri, Feluda, Topshe, and Jatayu unravel a chilling mystery in the serene landscapes of Kashmir,” Junaid said.
“The trio encounters a retired judge and they take on the responsibility of finding a lost valuable ring. The trail of murder takes them through the beautiful landscape of Gulmarg, Khilanmarg, Pahalgam as they start verifying the shield of the suspects,” he added.
While sharing his odyssey in the entertainment industry, Junaid said that he has been part of two movies and has also worked in two web series so far. Out of these, ‘Operation Valentine and ‘India’s Brave 2’ have already been released and are available on OTT platforms. ““Currently we are talking about Feludar Goyendagiri ,concurrently it’s releasing on 20th December. One of my projects ‘Songs of Paradise will be released in the coming year,” he said.
This season of the series is a homage to Satyajit Ray’s original Feluda. The series has recreated some of the iconic scenes from the detective’s thrilling stunts.
