With an intent to challenge norms and champion women’s empowerment in motorsports, JK AUTOX WOMEN, the first-ever Women-Only Autocross event was held in the Kashmir Valley.

In a field that has been traditionally dominated by men, women in motorsports are proving their mettle and breaking barriers. Women have also made significant contributions to the industry in motorsports.

Many female drivers are leading the way to top the charts and making their presence felt in the racing world. These women are blazing a trail for others and challenging the status quo.

“The motive of this rally is to bust the myth that women are not the best drivers. People say women don’t drive well. But if we can run houses, and offices then why can’t we drive vehicles? This rally serves as a reminder to respect women drivers,” Muskan, a participant told ANI.

JK AUTOX WOMEN is a bold celebration of women’s empowerment in motorsports, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. It is an event that features women who are breaking stereotypes and showcasing their driving skills.

The thrill and precision as skilled women racers take the wheel in an exhilarating Autocross challenge, inspiring the next generation of talent.

This event is the result of an exceptional collaboration between the Jammu and Kashmir Motor Sports Federation (JKMSF), Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of India (FMSCI), and FMSCIWEM, organizations dedicated to promoting motorsports and empowering women.

Despite their accomplishments, women in motorsports have faced adversity, including unusual opportunities and stereotypes. However, initiatives like the JK AUTOX WOMEN promoting gender diversity are working to dismantle these barriers.

Female participation in motorsports is at an all-time high, statistics show that the number of women in races has been increasing over the past decade.

Diversity and inclusion are important for the continued growth and appeal of motorsports. Embracing a diverse talent pool not only broadens the sport’s fanbase but also fosters innovation and creativity within teams.

Women in motorsports have broken down barriers, shattered gender stereotypes, and made history. As we continue to honour their accomplishments, let’s also advocate for diversity and inclusion in the racing industry to make sure that this exciting environment is accessible and friendly to everyone.
