Kashmir players bag awards in Roll Ball championship

Jammu, Nov 30: Roll Ball Association of J&K in collaboration with J&K Sports Council successfully conducted the UT State-level Championship on November 26 and 27 at M A Stadium Jammu.
Kashmir Roll Ball Contingent comprising 30 players was led by M Ashraf Dijoo, Joint Secretary and Coach of the Roll Ball Association of J&K UT (Kashmir wing). From Kashmir, various teams in U-14 boys, U-17 Boys and U-17 Girls and Senior Boys team participated and showed their performance in the championship.
U-17 boys bagged the Silver medal while in a thrilling match, girls team lifted Silver Medal in the final match lost by 1:2 goals. In the U-14 boys category, they lifted the Bronze medal and in the Senior category Kashmir boys lifted the Bronze medal.
Dabeer Wani of the U-17 team played a tremendous game and scored 5 goals in the final match against the Jammu team.
In the concluding function, Manager Sports Stadium was the chief guest and Dhaluja, President Roll Ball Association of UT J&K was the guest of honour. Dijoo, who is the pioneer of this game in Kashmir and Ladakh is working hard for the development of the game for the last more than 17 years and has produced hundreds of Skaters and Roll Ball players. 
“A good number of players showed their talent in the national level and won medals. Speed Skating Track is the need for our Skaters in the valley,” Dijoo said.
