In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Kashmir on March 7, Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board and a prominent BJP leader Dr Darakshan Andrabi on Sunday expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming event. Andrabi highlighted the widespread excitement among Kashmiris, stating that both party workers and the general public eagerly anticipate giving the Prime Minister a warm welcome.

While speaking to ANI, Dr Darakshan Andrabi said, “Our beloved Prime Minister is coming to Kashmir on March 7. Every Kashmiri wants to give a warm welcome. Not only the party workers are excited but the people are equally excited… Men and women are saying that their son or brother is coming and they want to see him.”

She emphasized the positive sentiments prevailing among the Kashmiri population, asserting their fondness for PM Modi and his policies. According to Dr. Andrabi, Kashmiris have historically stood with the truth, and post-August 5, 2019, they perceive the end of a dark era that persisted for 35 years.

“Kashmiris have always been positive and stood with the truth. They feel that after August 5 (2019), the dark era ended after 35 years. Every Kashmiri is fond of PM Modi and his policies… The votes would be for PM Modi only… ‘Firse ek baar, Modi Sarkar aur 400 ke paar’,” she stated, reflecting the sentiment that the upcoming elections would see overwhelming support for PM Modi and his government.

On March 7, the Prime Minister will be travelling to Jammu and Kashmir to lay the foundation stone for multiple development projects in Srinagar.
