Paying rich tributes to the martyred policemen who laid down their lives while bravely fighting the militants in Kathua area, since last night , JKPCC Chief Tariq Hameed Karra has termed the terror situation in parts of Jammu as grim and demanded more effective strategy to deal with the deteriorated situation in the region.

Strongly condemning the terror incident in Kathua district,JKPCC Chief expressed great shock over loss of precious lives of security forces in the gun battle , while lauding the bravery of the forces who eliminated three terrorists in the encounter.

Karra expressed great concern over the grim situation , in various parts of Jammu region,he said that the baloon of false & misleading claims of normalcy by the centre government, stands burst due to series of terror incidents in Jammu region in the recent past but the centre remains in denial mode to divert attention of the nation.

The centre government ignored the warning signals and ignored the voice of people from ground, leading to deterioration of the situation,he alleged.

Joined by several senior leaders from the district including Ch Lal Singh, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma,DCC President Pankaj Dogra ,Ex MLA Durga Dass, Naresh Sharma,,Kajal Rajput, Rakesh Chaudhary, Nirdosh Sharma & ors,Karra demanded more effective strategy to control the situation by taking active cooperation of people and the elected representatives,JKPCC Chief asked the centre government to accept the ground reality and the challenge, in order to control the situation.

They said that the situation is worst in the district and there is fear amongst the common people due to series of incidents including mysterious disappearance & killings ,while the police is clueless, which makes things more serious.

They conveyed deep sympathies with the families of those martyred and injured and prayed for early recovery of the injured.(KNS)
