Srinagar, May 16: “Karnataka landslide victory of Congress is a defeat of hate and divisive politics of BJP which is set to face subsequent defeats in other states and in forthcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections as the nation is yearning for the change,” said J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Vikar Rasool Wani on Tuesday.
Wani was addressing a function held at the Srinagar Party Office where he welcomed hundreds of Panchs, Sarpanchs and prominent leaders from Central Kashmir into the Congress party, the JKPCC said in a statement issued here.
He termed the joining as “an outcome of Congress Party’s struggle to safeguard the rights of the people irrespective of their colour, region or religion”.
Speaking on the occasion, the JKPCC Chief said, “Despite the BJP’s malicious propaganda unleashed for the lust of power, Congress party and the people of the country in unison shall continue to work harder to defeat BJP’s misadventures and other conspiracies aiming to divide people into religion, caste and regional lines for the lust of power.”
“Time has come when BJP will be wiped out after facing defeat to its fullest given their anti-people policies and politics of hate and division,” Vikar said, adding, “Karnataka has shown that hate and divisive politics is not acceptable to the nation rather the development and prosperity for which Congress party is struggling shall continue to remain most significant in this diverse country.”
